Our chimney is capped but we'd like to start using the gas fire downstairs again

Our chimney was capped when the loft extension was built. E'd like to start using the gas fire down in the sitting room but obviously without the chimney we can't at the moment. Is there a simple solution for this?

Hello, You should uncap the chimney and install a chimney liner.
