Combi-boiler, change of a filter and power flush

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.56 PM

I have a combi boiler, which needs a filter replacement and a power flush. The boiler has been serviced and gas safety checked by gas safety registered company in December 2017, they claim that filter replacement and power flush has to be only done by gas safety registered person(800 pounds+VAT+work). Our regular plumber, who is not gas safety registered thinks that this job can be done by him, legally (400 pounds+VAT). Who is right? Thank you

I agree with the previous poster D & R Property and Plumbing Maintenance, as long as the plumber does not take the boiler case/cover off and he has adequate public liability insurance to cover any accidents that may occur or any other unforeseen issues then allow him to proceed if you feel his is competent to carry out the work as described.
