No mains water running to boiler. Air lock?
Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.38 PM
Our boiler pressure dropped, I went to fill/pressurise with the filling loop but nothing happens. I thought it might be a broken vale on the filling loop (handle previously snapped off) so replaced the filling loop with a brand new one - but still nothing. When changing it seemed that there was no mains water actually going into the filling loop in the first place. The mains water is on, you can disconnect the loop (mains pipe end, not boiler end) and no water comes out. Could this be an air lock type thing happening? Any ideas how this can easily be solved? Thanks in advance! Edit - just to add to this and be a little clearer. It appears to be the there is no water feed from the supply pipe.
