UPVC front door Auto lock from inside but opens without key from outside

I recently changed the key cylinder in the UPVC front door. After that when I close the door, door auto locks inside..meaning I need key to open from inside however I dont need key to open from outside. It was working other way around before the cylinder replacement. I tried all the options but it is not working as expected. Any help on this will be appreciated. Thanks for the reply. I bought the cylinder from b&q. Lost the key for the previous lock hence changed. Is it to do with the cylinder or handle adjustment?

Sounds like a me you have a split spindle operating the gearbox if you took off the handles and the spindle was in two parts take spindles out of handles and put in opposite handle if you don't want the split spindle operation just replace with a solid spindle

Where did you get the cylinder from. Check the cylinder fixing screw is in tight. Make sure its in the right way. What was your reason for you having to change the cylinder
