Do the hot and cold pipes need re-plumbing to the bath if I’m going to install the pump?

Do the hot and cold pipes need re-plumbing to the bath if I’m going to install a pump? The water pressure for the shower mixer is really poor, I have a heating system with a Hot water storage tank on the first floor same as the bathroom. I’ve been advised that as well as installing a pump to improve it I would need to get the hot and cold replumbed to the bath from the pump is this correct?.

The pump should only be supplying the shower, if the same pipes feeding the bath are feeding the shower then they will need some alterations.

The water pressures much be balanced, so the cold pipework must be run from the tank and the hot from the cylinder, if that is already the case then the pipes shouldn’t need to be re-done but the pump should be fitted in Accordance to the manufacturers instructions regarding its location.
