Do the hot and cold pipes need re-plumbing to the bath if I’m going to install the pump?

Do the hot and cold pipes need re-plumbing to the bath if I’m going to install a pump? The water pressure for the shower mixer is really poor, I have a heating system with a Hot water storage tank on the first floor same as the bathroom. I’ve been advised that as well as installing a pump to improve it I would need to get the hot and cold replumbed to the bath from the pump is this correct?.

No you should only need to add plumbing for the new shower mixer. As the bath doesn't need to have boosted water.

You should only have the hot and cold feeds going from your shower pump to your mixer shower as this will improve the pressure. But no you won't need the hot and cold pipes altered going to your bath taps. Cheers, Ryan.
