Is Aqua plasterboard sufficient to support 5kg tiles

Is Aqua plasterboard sufficient to support 5kg tiles? I have 300mmX600mm tiles which weigh about 5kg each Wall dimentions: 1800mm*2500mm and 2400mm*2500mm

It will take 50kg of tiles per m2 so yes aqualpanel will support your 5kg tiles as your tiles would come to approx 5.5 tiles per m2, 5.5 tiles x 5kg per tile = 27.5 kg per m2 and a little for the adhesive/grout

Hi there is you use aquapanel cement boars screwed every 150mm then that should be strong enough to hold a heavy tile as long as the right adhesive is applied to the tile
