Faulty mixers or a problem with water tank?
Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.36 PM
Hi all, We live in London (so an old house), 4 storeys. The boiler is on the ground floor and water tank is on the top floor. We seem to have a recurring problem where the showers on the second and third (top) floor only seem to be hot for a few minutes and then run tepid for the rest of the shower. The taps on the sink in the same bathrooms do not seem to have the same problem, as the hot water runs perfectly fine. We have had the mixers adjusted a couple of times and are scheduled to get one of them replaced again soon, but I’m just wondering if it’s more likely to be a problem with the water tank since it is both showers and we have had plumbers round to sort the problem. It is worth noting that the shower on the first floor does not have this problem and runs hot just fine. Does anyone have any advice/ insight as to what may be the problem? Thanks!
