Supplier has refused to install new electric cooker because the power isolation switch is on the same wall as the cooker. Anyone aware of what regulation they are referring to and is it compulsory to have the switch moved? Thanks Sue
As long as the isolation switch is to either side of the cooker minimum distance away from the edge is 300mm and not above or behind the cooker it can go on the same wall. I have moved plenty that are directly above hobs to one side on the same wall, never heard of this one tbh.

As deacon electrical services has said as long as it is 300mm away from the edge of the cooker it is within regulations, however, it should also be noted that the isolator should also be the same distance from a draining board or sink too, this could be why they have refused to install the cooker? if not its a new one for me.
