Oil-based undercoat - how difficult to feather in if not doing whole wall?

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.15 PM

Hi. I have a few windows where I can clearly see the metal beading shadow through the multifinish plaster which is now fully dried. I've been advised that the best way to stop this coming through any later water-based emulsion would be to apply an oil-based undercoat to the problem areas, so that's what I intend to do. However, when I mist coat the rest of the wall in the emulsion is it a problem to then feather this in, or do I need to undercoat the entire wall? Cheers.
