Roofing

flat concrete roof has two large cracks. Leaking. Need to change fall as well as making waterproof.

I have a flat 4" thick concrete roof laundry area. It has two large cracks and leaks. I am a 77 year old DIY lady with no money. I had stripped off all the compromised felting and painted the roof with Everbuild Aquaseal Liquid Roof but it only workd for a short time. I need to change the slight fall of the roof slightly so was cosidering using something like Wedi board and tiling onto it, but Wedi say they no longer have an exterior one. The roof will not have traffic on it once completed. Any suggestions would be very welcome.

Make the fall using timber and ply board then use a grp fiberglass roofing kit with trim and flashings to create a working long lasting roof covering

Hi. In your situation I would consider using the ‘my builder hero’ on here.. there is a very easy solution... clean off & bitumen primer the roof. to give you a slight fall use some 4mm torch on felt ( however many times necessary) 2mm torch on felt.. Then overlay the whole thing with a mineral finish torch on felt. I personally use charcoal modibond.. you can get up to a 25yr manufacturers guarantee if installed correctly. I’m in stafford in the midlands... if your local’ish I’ll happily sort that for you. 👍🏻
