Extraction hose of en-suite shower terminating in lost space?

Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.38 PM

Hi we are in the process of buying a house and had our homebuyer survey back. One of the issues that came up is that in the upstairs en-suite shower room, the extraction hose terminates in the loft space rather then an external source. How big a job is this to fix and which area of expertise would this come into? ventilation systems? bathroom fitters? Thanks

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Handyman.or your self if confidant. Extend it via shortest route. To soffit. Excit via a vent. Vents fit extraction hose. .

Check the roof space first, maybe its fallen off a ridge tile vent? or some other connection? if not, extend using a kit made for this and exit were ever is easiest to do so,ie, the soffit (cut hole, install vent) or a roof tile vented tile or cover, all attachments etc are available from most builders merchants or even B&Q.
