Dull light on fuse box of extractor fan

Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.37 PM

I have just installed a new kitchen. All the electrical components were kept in the same position as the old kitchen. When I wired the sockets and fuse boxes back up, the power light on the fuse box for the extractor fan / cooker hood stays on but is dull when the switch is in the off position, and glows full when on. I’m guessing I’ve wired it up wrong some how? Cheers

Don't mess with electrics, switching polarity may cause an electric shock without touching live parts. Disconnect faulty circuits and get qualified electrician ASAP.

What fuse boxes? Think you mean switched spur units with a neon? I think you have a faulty neon on the spur.
