10 years old boiler with no pressure relief pipe

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.55 PM

Hi, I called a gas engineer to get a gas certificate and he found out that my old boiler doesn't have a pressure relief pipe fitted. The pipe just goes to a plastic tank in a cupboard. The gas engineer didn't have time to explain how to do this, so I'm wondering what to expect when I call another engineer to come and tell me how to fix it. Cheers!

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

I would suggest based purely on your description is get the fault rectified by a plumber which appears a simple fix on the face of it then call a gas engineer to carry out another Landlords gas safety inspection.
