Is it a legal requirement to have TRVs or a room thermostat?

Hi We had a new extension built last year and it was signed off by Building Control. During the build we had a new combi boiler and new radiators fitted throughout the house. The previous radiators had thermostatic radiator valves on. The builder removed the whole radiator and valves and replaced but we now do not have any TRVs in the house. We also do not have a room thermostat. Is it a legal requirement under the Building Regulations to have one/both of these? If it is, what does everyone recommend we do ? Thanks

Building Regulations state that all new and modified wet central heating systems must have a TRV fitted to every radiator (apart from one where the room thermostat or programmable thermostat is installed, typically in the hall). Is a good practice also to control the temperature in each room and in time you can reduce the cost of your bill.

Probably the most simple fix would to be fit a wireless thermostat. This will result in less disruption to the property, especially if you can get one that it integrated into the boiler.
