Electric oven dilemma - 13amp or 16amp?

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.15 PM

I am replacing my old standalone cooker with a worktop hob and electic oven. The old cooker has a gas connection for the hob and a white wire that is hardwired to the oven ( coming from a patress box behind the base cabinets ). Currently there is a red flick switch above the worktop ( i am not sure of its ampage ). I already have the hob, but am confused as to what ampage the electric oven should be. Can i get either a 13 amp or 16 amp electric oven that needs to be hardwired, or just one of these for the current setup. Any advice greatly received. thanks in advance, Nadeem

Manufacturers instructions provided with the oven will confirm if can be plugged into a 13A socket or if it requires an independent 16A supply.
