Underlay / insulation for kitchen floors

Hi, What kind of insulation would be suitable to lay on cold kitchen floor onto plywood boards but underneath eva foam tiles to prevent any spillage that are likely to occur damaging the plywood boards. Many thanks. With kindest regards, Flo

I would recommend any damp proofing or water proof paint , 2 coats , second applied only after first completely dried after manufacturer recommendations . Plywood board are more likely to be treated itself with wood preserver before that.
