Does an oven hob/oven need to be connected to a circuit

Can a oven hob just be plugged in? In a simple answer, no I'm afraid not. Cooker circuits should be fed individually on there own running back to the distribution board/ consumer unit. Also a local isolation point near to the cooker/Hob is required. Here is a link to some helpful information.
