Water dripping in toilet after flushing

Hi New toilet has been fitted today. But water is constantly dripping in the toilet after a flush and constantly the tank fills up. It's continuous flow of water.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

proberly the inlet valve is letting by ,it has not been adjusted.

The inlet needs to be adjusted. There should be a plastic screw witch just needs turning . Phone the installed back

It could be a few things in my experience 1. The ball/ float valve isn’t functioning correctly by not isolating the supply after the cistern has filled. 2. The flush syphon is letting by slightly- some cisterns need the syphon nipping up as most of the toilets I’ve fitted came premade. I suggest getting the plumber back that installed it and he should fix the problem free of charge. If you wanted to check yourself then take the lid off the cistern and see if the water is going past the overflow point if it’s not then it will be a issue with your syphon. Hope this helped.
