Change of Room Thermostat
Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.17 PM
HI, I'm looking to change a honeywell T6360B(3wire) thermostat to a DT90E(2wire), apparently the neutral wire is no longer used and should be made safe, what's te best way of doing this, as I can't get easy access to the other end
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

The easiest way is to fit a connector on the neutral end or a thru crimp to protect the neutral from touching any other connectors and causing a fault condition.

Just stick a connector on it and leave it in the ‘stat.

Hi, the easiest way to isolate the neutral would be to use a connector block. The best way to isolate would be to disconnect in the wiring centre. If you are unsure I would strongly advise you use an electrician that has experience of heating systems as there are usually 20+ connections in these centres. Hope this helps
