Does the conservation area cover changes to the back garden patio & turf?

Are we free to make changes to the back garden patio, turfing, and drainage grid if we are in a conservation area? (Progress Estate SE9)

Each conservation area has its own set of guidelines and parameters. To know for certain what is permitted and what isn't it is always best to contact your local conservation officer who can be reached through your local authority. A good place to start would be the planning department.
