How easy is it to clear a sani flo toilet which has become blocked?
Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.35 PM
The suction from the sani flo system within my property has become quite slow and i was wondering what the cause of this could be? Also how easy (if possible) is it to change from a sani flo system to a standard WC?

you only need a saniflo to pump waste away as there is no soil stack and natural flow nearby, like in a basement, garage, loft etc. if you have a soil stack you could access then no need for the saniflo otherwise unless you have major work doing to route a stack in the area you need and add underground pipes as well normally then a saniflo is called for.
as for the saniflo becoming slow it could be the microswitch, something in the way blocking it from flowing or the inner parts becoming seized as was the case in the last one i changed, the were jammed and hardly worked and also the saniflo was so old it had warped. once arrived within the hour the saniflo was in place and pumping away for the customer nicely.
hope this helps,
