Boiler made loud grumbling noise and pressure rocketed
Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.37 PM
My boiler made a loud whirring noise and pressure went up. I then went to bleed all the radiators and the pressure went back down to normal. However, in the process, it left some radiators to not work at all. I have been advised to turn off all the radiators that are working, then gradually turn on the radiators that are not? then after feeling heat come through the inactive radiators i should turn it back off.. and then what?

When dealing with boilers best to call a professional. It sounds like the filling loop is letting by.

Go to the last radiator and drain all the system out with boiler off.
Once you have removed all the water close the drain valve e fill the system up.
Start going to 1.5bar and start with bleeding the radiators (pressure will go down).) So refill system.
Repeat until all radiators are full amd bleeded and the pressure is 1.5bar.
Turn on the boiler and see how it goes.
