Central Heating

Dual Zone heating control

Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.37 PM

Hi Professionals I have a problem where i would like to control 2 heating zones with a Vaillant Ecotec system boiler. Zone 1 underfloor heating Ground Floor (controlled by nest) Zone 2 Rads First floor (controlled by Ebus vaillant controls) Currently i cannot find a controller that will do both with weather compensation. Its either on or off, no intelligent controls over the boiler whatsoever. I can use Vaillant controls with the ebus interface to do this but i cannot stand the look of their outdated controls. I cant use opentherm becuase vaillant dont support it I have tried Vsmart with a VR66 and its a big waste of time. even though you can run 2 zones on it but has to be with vaillant controls. At the moment my Vsmart has failed with connection to boiler failed.(currently in the process of not fit for purpose with vaillant) Has anyone ever done a setup like this with independent heating controls and vaillant ebus managment ? its a big shame that the big boiler manfacturers dont make their boilers compatible with other controls. Thanks in advance. Thanks in advance

Hi. I have same problem with vaillant. The solution I have found is to use the 8 zone john guest control board. I just wish vaillant would design a control board which can facilitate more than 2 zones using the ebus and wireless roomstats.
