As a decorator myself I would recommend that you get in touch with the decorator who done the work and talk over the issues you have and try solve the issue. Before you hired him for the job I'm assuming he provided you with a detailed quote of everything that's going to be done? If it's just the colour choice that you chose then not really anything you can do tbh. He's the painter, not the interior designer. If it's the quality of work that you think ain't up to scratch then get him back out and just simply talk it over.
If a customer had to ever phone me up and complain I would be more than happy to go back and come to an agreement to fix whatever the problem is.

this is really a question you should be taking up with your decorator, Iam presuming you gave him some sort of instructions as to what you wanted and not just some one who walked in of the street and started decorating your home.
talk to your decorator.

Try telling him how you want it done and the quality of work you expect for the amount he is charging. Don’t under any circumstances leave them to it, give them a key, go on holiday, keep an eye on the job and if you discover something you are unhappy with, speak up.

If you are not happy with standard of craftsmanship you need to let decorator know as soon as possible, best in writing. Check what contract says about disputes- that should give you an anwser.
If you are having issues with communication with decorator give him strict, readonable timeframes to respond.
It’s good idea to seek another professional opinion on level of standard. Hope you get it sorted soon.
