Moving into new house, lots of different jobs need doing. Who to ask for a quote?

So in about 6 weeks I shall be moving into a 3 bed semi detached house. The previous owner was rather old and has left the house in good condition, but it needs updating. Things that need doing: - Complete rewiring of the whole house - Back boiler and tanks removed and new combi boiler installed in new location - Single floor back extension built with brand new kitchen, bi-folding doors and skylights (4-4.5m depth so will need planning permission). - The house is higher than the garden, so a patio area will need to be built at the back of the extension, which would then need steps down to the rest of the garden - Couple of stud walls put in to separate new rooms - Current kitchen would be replaced with two rooms (utility and downstairs toilet/shower) These are the jobs that definitely need doing with the first two needing to be done as soon as humanly possible after we move in. We'd also start the process on getting the back extension done asap as well as we understand it can be a lengthy process getting permission. My question is, should I be getting individual quotes from electricians, plumbers, building contractors & architects? Or are there companies out there that could do literally everything and it end up being cheaper too? We'd get everything done at the same time if the price is right... Thanks Darren

Due to diverse jobs required I would suggest contacting several different tradesman. It may seem like a lot of work initially , but as they say if you are good in everything, you are not excellent in anything. May not be the best idea to hire one company to deal with it all.

This question comes with bad news for the answer, sorry... The best thing to do is get individuals and building companies in to give you a quote. Depending on where you are depends which is likely to be cheaper. The only way to find out is to ask the individuals and companies to quote, so in short, lots of homework, researching and contacting people to find out.
