Dry lined the walls in Chapelfield Norwich. We taped joints (tapered edge boards)with easi fill, dot all nails/screws, then two coats of joint cement. When dry, sanded down and sealed ready for painting.

I’ve always taped any joints, mixed filler not too runny but so it’s workable then using a ‘caulker’ (that’s what they’re called) apply the filler evenly over the joints. I think usually to go about 6-8 inches so inches out from the middle. Don’t leave the filler to proud as that will make your sanding down harder. You will also see the lines in the filler where you need to fill out past as you’re putting the filler on. Once that’s dry, give it a run down with a 120 grade sand paper, changing it regularly. Then do the same process again. Some people can get away with 2 fills but to be safe do the method 3 times. When painting, thin down the first coat of emulsion with about 40% water to 60% paint. Then sand down again for any dust that will cause lumps, I use a 240 grade paper for this. Then 2 coats of whatever emulsion. Sorry my wording may not be the best, I can see it clear as day in my head! Just can’t put it into a clear description. Also maybe look on you tube for demonstrations, they can be helpful. And like above said. Easyfill is perfect for this. Hope it helps.
