Is it possible to convert an electric shower to one fed from a combi boiler?
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.14 PM
I live in a bungalow and have an electric shower which is next to useless and am thinking of changing it for one run off the combi boiler. Is this possible and if so, is it complicated?

It would not be as easy as replacing the electric shower with a mixer shower as you would need to change the innards of the electric one.
A mixer shower could cost under £100 and you can connect into the pipes easily. The electric one should only work when it is turned on and heating so it would be somewhat pointless to go through all the hassle of altering the insides if you see what I mean...

my advise would be to keep with the electric shower and just go out and buy a new one as it would be a lot faster to fit and less disruption to your house hold, you would not have to remove tiles and run pips up your wall and re-tile over the cost would be a lot less
