Can I adjust an opening for my new window
Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.37 PM
Hi, I’ve recently had windows replaced for my rented property. Im now aware that I need a side opening window for a fire escape route in emergency . My question is do I need to get a whole new frame and window or can the existing one be adjusted ( existing is a top opening window ) Thanks in advance for any replies. Thanks

Hi
In order to comply with currant fire escape building regs you need to have an unobstructed opening of 450mm X 450mm As long as you have that you are fine.
