Lights not working in one room (fuse did not trip)

Presumably tried with new bulb, could be a loose connection which had just enough grip to work up to a point when it's overheated just lost contact, turn all power off - not only the light circuit - just in case and gently tight all connections at the light and in the switch, if it doesn't solve the problem seek professional help to make the relevant tests to find the problem.

As the lights flickerd I would say you have got a loose connection somewhere along the line. You would. Need a electrician to test and verify that the connections are tight and have the correct continuity. Cheers Dan male

Good Morning, It sounds like you may have a loose connection in one of the light fittings. This would not cause the fuse to trip but would mean your lights would stop working. With the power switched off, you would need to check the connections to the light fittings are sound. If you don't manage to see any obvious problems it would be a good idea to contact an electrician who will be able to diagnose the problem for you.

I had a similar job recently......a rat had nibbled through one of the conductors😊
