Kitchen Fitting

Would a joiner/kitchen fitter make birch ply doors to fit standard kitchen carcasses?

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.34 PM

I’d like a new kitchen with a mix of plywood and Formica fronted plywood doors & drawer fronts. I’d need all new units, so wondering whether a joiner/fitter could supply decent units from Howdens (or wherever), then make doors etc to fit? Thanks.

This is of course possible. Whether it would be a suitable job for a kitchen fitter really depends on the versatility and skill set of the fitter, however, any GOOD fitter should be able to facilitate this no problem. If your kitchen fitter is not comfortable with this then I would recommend that you employ a bench/workshop joiner to manufacture the doors to the correct sizes and then have your fitter install the doors onto your units. Hope this helps!
