Why won’t my heating turn off after fitting a heated towel rail?

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.34 PM

Hi, Just wanted to thank you all as the problem has now been resolved and feel rather silly. It was just a simple problem of that there was a setting on our wave for weather compensation control.. Since turning this off it now turns off once it’s reached the correct temp.. Thanks again for all your help

Hi there, The new addition will not be the cause of this, it suggests that the issue will be the communication between the thermostat and your boiler. Hope this helps

Possible Faulty motorised valve (silver box on pipework) if this is faulty the stat try's to tell it to close but it can stay stuck open therefore constantly sending power to the boiler

Hi there this could be one of two problems, it could be that the MV value is jammed open which is a common fault or there is a problem with communication between the thermostat and boiler!, the problem won't be because you have added a towel rail to the system! Hope this helps 👍🏻 A S PLUMBING SERVICES
