Lack of boiler certificates

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.34 PM

The previous owner of my property installed a combi boiler in the loft. I have since discovered no building regs or gas safe certificate was issued (yes I know serves me right for not checking thoroughly when I purchased, though I got a good discount on asking price!). I have an inspection certificate of some sort though. Is it possible to do the install stuff retrospectively? Would an engineer be willing to do a check in someone else is work? What are my options in this situation? Thanks.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?
