Potential Age of Worcester Greenstar 25i J Combi Boiler

Purchasing a house which has been previously let. The vendor/landlord isn't very forthcoming with information. We have seen a gas safety certificate dated November 2016 but nothing for 2017. There were no issues other than the boiler had been checked but not serviced. The vendor refuses to pay for a new check/service so I was hoping to find out how old the boiler is. The serial number is not noted on the 2016 certificate, just the description in this post title. Any help would be much appreciated. The property is not located in my local area, therefore it isn't easy to attain the serial number. Thanks in advance.

Worchester Greenstar 25i are fairly new boilers around 5/6 years old A combi Boiler well installed should last at least 15 years.

Hi, If the boiler was installed by a Gas safe engineer, call Worcester and give them the postcode of the property. If the boiler was registered, they should be able to give you the details. Good luck
