What are need to supply my own boiler for an engineer to install

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.14 PM

So my old heat only boiler stopped producing heat and hot water due to a faulty part, but part is obsolete. As money is tight I want to purchase a like for like boiler myself and be located in same position and will also have an horizontal flue.. Would I require anything else or is that enough to get it up and running. Heating only works when the engineer fiddles with faulty part. If anyone can help I may even let you quote me for an installation. Many thanks

Id look at getting a magnetic filter of some sort to help protect your system as well as a descaler. If the system hasn't been maintained then add some cleaner in your radiators to loosen any sludge prior to draining down.
