Required Diametre of Mains Water Supply Inlet Pipe

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.14 PM

We are currently preparing for a loft conversion and have been advised that to effectively meet the demands of supplying water to an additional third bathroom (regardless of any modifications to our existing boiler system), we would need to replace the existing 15mm mains water supply inlet pipe to the stop-cock with pipework of around 30mm. Is this correct?

This would usually be the norm: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MDPE-Blue-Water-Pipe-20mm-25mm-32mm-Choice-Of-Sizes-Length-Supplied-Coiled/152573874348?hash=item23861c90ac:m:mua2IrdlBK2qvWaEGc0_mvA
