There appears to be damp in my bedroom
Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.34 PM
Our bathroom wall backs on to our bedroom wall and I have started to notice a horizontal line of damp that corresponds to where the shower is. What type of tradesman would be able to assist with this please?
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

I would post this in the handyman section. Querying that you may have an issue with water ingress from the shower through failed grouting/ silicone seals etc. And see if anyone is interested in resolving it

Your shower will need re siliconing . The water is getting through the gap between the shower and and tiles .

A handyman should be able to help. There might be two possibilities for this 1) the pipe feeding the shower head could be leaking near the top where the pipe is connected to the shower head or 2) could be that the grout is poor and is allowing water penetration.
