Do boiler pressures drop.slightly when not in use

The pressure shouldn't drop.
But may seem that way as the pressure has a slight increase when the central heating is being used.

It can drop if your expansion vessel has ruptured, or worst scenario your primary heat exchanger has cracked and is leaking internally but the later is a very rare occurrence.
You have not stated if you are having to re-pressurise the heating circuit on a regular bases!
