Back to wall toilet right angled soil pipe

Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.36 PM

Hi We are having a small cloakroom with back to wall toilet installed with a boxed in concealed cistern. The existing main soil pipe runs down a few inches behind and about a foot to the right of where the back of the new BTW toilet will be. If a 90 degree waste outlet was fitted to the new toilet it would line up just right with the main soil pipe. My question is there any real reason why a 90 degree soil pipe connector can't be used with a back to wall toilet - i can see a lot of close coupled that are sold as left or right outlet but not the back to wall type - just need to be sure since i am buying the pan and having it fitted cheers

you would need to use an outlet that will fit between the pan outlet and the soil connection, whether it be a bent one, straight one or an offset one. you can get flexible ones too for awkward positions or if it needs extending a little as some btw pans can be fiddly to fit without these. you will probably find with the btw pan you cant use a 90 degree outlet as the wc outlet will be set in from back of the pan so you have to come out straight first. I would use a flexible one or extend the soil along and go straight out to it
