Without extra information no electrician would be able to give full answer. 1, what is the earthing arrangement (TT,TNCS etc) 2,Is the circuit a radial 3,Is it protected by an RCD 4,What is the protective device type Also that size cable seem an overkill for a 3000W oven

Making some assumptions about the insulation along the cable run, and assuming it will be grouped together with other cables, using the calculations in BS7671, you can run 3kW for 120m on a 6mm T&E cable, staying within volt-drop tolerances. That would be long enough to wrap around my house twice. A 6mm cable is fine for most domestic oven circuits, a normal length run of 30m will take 7kW.

What’s wrong with a 2.5 mm cable on a 16 or 20 amp mcb.
