Water filling in washing machine drum and slight leak under sink

Hi there Recently had a kitchen fitted and not sure the builder plumbed the machine and sink in correctly. I have some water filling in an empty drum sometimes and found a small very slight dripping under the sink tap. Advice needed on why this might be? And best way to tackle. Thanks
