Baxi Bermuda 552 keeps clickingwhen hot water or heating on

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.54 PM

Hello, I have a really old Baxi Bermuda 552 back boiler. The past couple of days when I turn the hot water or heating on, the boiler does the usual clicking noise and fires up. However, it then keeps clicking every 2-5 seconds constantly and does not stop. It seems to be constantly fired up and doesn't seem to turn the flame off. It is also intermittently re-setting our controls. So the time reverts back to 12:00am and loses any of the times we have set for it to come on and off. It does this if the hot water is on, heating is on, and if both are on at the same time. Does anyone have any ideas on what could be causing this? Had a three port valve replaced in 12-18 months ago and the pump is probably 2-3 years old too.
