Cupboard housing water tank?

Hi i have a water tank in my childs bedroom inside a cupboard in the corner which goes all the way up to the ceiling and want to know if it is safe to cut down the height of the cupboard to just above the tank so that i can have more space for shelving along that wall?

without inspection see no problem in reducing the height of the heating cupboard, pipe work above tank and electric cables may need to boxed in,
