Electrical sockets at top of wall
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.13 PM
Hello, Im looking at having 2 x power sockets installed at the top of the back wall in the Living room to power surround sound speakers. Just wanted to check this is allowed in line with building regs?
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Yes you can, as long as the double socket spur is between 450mm and 1200mm from finished floor level to comply with current regs.

Yes, why not. As long as they are installed correctly nothing wrong with it.
My edit... Electro vision that only applies to new builds, you have said it can be done, yet impose a limit and according to your limits that is not at the top of the wall.
