Removal of old style glued down laminated flooring
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.13 PM
I am thinking about replacing my laminate flooring which is about 15 years old. Its the old style that you glue together and I am concerned that it will be a major job to get it uplifted. Please, can you advise me how difficult the job would be, how long it might take, what precautions may need to be taken? Thanks very much

Regarding ripping the old floor up would take about a day to do and also if the flooring is under skirting boards would probably have to replace them to, regarding any dangers as long as the laminate is attached to original floor boards shouldn't be a problem i,e damaging cables or pipe work.

Hi
To remove the laminate flooring it shouldn't be a problem
Time scale depands how much there is, and if the laminate is glued to the floor as well
I would also remove the skirting as it's not very expensive to replace and put new skirting after the new flooring
