Please can you tell me do a need planning permission to get rid of my garage door and brick it up with window and door

Hi Gareth, While this could be Pernitted Development and not need a full planning application, it’s worth checking with your local planning authority. Depending upon location they might require you to demonstrate that the loss of a garage won’t impact upon street parking.

Hi In many cases converting a garage into a habitable living accommodation now falls under Permitted Development therefore, Planning Permission is not required.
