Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.36 PM
I have a combi boiler that is working ok just had the pressure release valve replaced and working fine but occasional i have a swooshing noise in the system (LIKE WATER BEEN PUSHED THRU ) . I am bleeding the radiators to get the air out as it appears as if it is air in the system .Is their anything else it may be or is their anything else i can do to release the pressure ? heating is working fine no leaks etc
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

If its a sealed system check your pressures and top up around 1.5 bar, if you have a header tank check it's not dry .

It may be an idea to fit a de-aeration filter under the boiler.
This will constantly remove all air from your system automatically. It is also very effective for preventing corrosion the main reason for problems.
I hope this helps, Kieran.
