Confused with putting new floor in extension with old dpc being much higher than the new one.
Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.54 PM
I am building an extension onto the front of my house. The original dpc is much higher up than the new one that i have put onto the new wall. Am i able to make the new floor lower than the existing dpc? Thanks in advance

Your new DPC should be set to the floor level of the extension you are building, which unless you are stepping down into the new extension should be the same as the existing house. Is there no building inspector involved?
It's hard to give an exact answer without seeing pictures and plans.
