Re-Wire of sockets

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.53 PM

Hello, I've had some different information from different electricians so posting on here to see what you all say. Our plug sockets are in the skirting board at the moment and too low down to plug my hoover in, some smart-arse said to turn the plug upside down but I'm not feeling that so I now know I need to re-wire my plug sockets in the house. My question to you is - can this be done room by room? I don't want to move out and the rooms all need redecorated however I want to do them on an individual basis as my garden doesn't have a money tree.. I realise this will cost more in the long run, but can it be done? Maybe also adding spot lights into the roof at the same time in that room. Thank you, Rebecca

Yes, its a fairly standard, easy job. Make sure the electrician/company is clear in their quote what level of 'making good' work they will do as some will only do a basic plaster infill of the 'chases' [cable runs]
