Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.36 PM

I'm looking to lay 500m^2 of turf. The ground will all be prepared. How long would it take 2 able people to lay this much turf?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi. If the area is mostly prepped the work should take no longer than 3 days for a team of 2. Make sure you get someone who knows what they are doing to lay the turf and check the weather forecast as a prolonged period of hard frost may cause problems.

2-3 days and don’t forget an application of pre turfing fertiliser to help get the roots down!! Consult your local professional to get the correct N.P.K for the time of year !! Happy turfing!!

If the ground is level and ready for laying it shouldn't take two people any more than 2 to 3 days make sure it's watered daily for the first two weeks or so if dry weather and also stay off it for 4 to 6 weeks to let the roots grow.
